Hazard Perception is part of your Driving Theory Test. Once you have completed the theory test part you will be given a break and then you will start the Hazard Perception.
Before you start the hazard perception part, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works. You'll then be shown a series of video clips on a computer screen.
The clips feature every day road scenes and contain at least one developing hazard - however one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.
A developing hazard is something that may result in you having to take some action, such as changing speed or direction.
Alder School of Motoring can offer free online hazard perception mock training videos in order for you to prepare for you test.
For a full explanation on how the Hazard Perception test works, and how you are scored please see the Driving Standards Agency - The Theory Test Explained
